[AMERICANS ABROAD] The weekend before the holiday break for Americans everywhere but in England and Belgium saw MichaelBradley‘s Roma pound AC Milan, 4-2, with what was described as “champagne soccer.” In England, Clint Dempsey satout Tottenham’s 0-0 tie against Geoff Cameron‘s Stoke Citywith a slight groin injury. Brad Guzan made seven saves,including a stop on Lucas Piazon‘s penalty kick, but that was one less than the number of times he had to pick the ball out of the net as Aston Villa endured ahumiliating 8-0 loss to Chelsea, which had scored only seven goals in its previous seven games.
