According to reports in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to sign a contract extension at Real Madrid, which means that the Spanish champ could lose its much-maligned starplayer as soon as this summer. Ronaldo rejected the extension, worth close to $20 million per year through 2018, because he feels the club has treated him badly.

The Portuguese made hisdiscontent clear in September when he declared himself “sad” with life at Real. He feels he has not been given enough support from club’s management. Since then, Ronaldo’simage has suffered despite his impressive goal tally.

According to the Mirror, Paris Sr. Germain is willing to pay $145 million and break the transfer world record to sign him, making the mega-rich French giant the clear favorite to land his signature. Both Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be monitoring the situation. Ronaldo has said he would be opento a return to Old Trafford, where he played for six seasons before joining Real in 2009.
