[AMERICANS ABROAD] Charlie Davies made his first start in Europe in almost three and a half years when he started in  FC Randers' 0-0 tie at OB on Thursday in the Danish Superliga.

Davies' last start in Europe was with French club Sochaux in 2009. He has start before returning to Europe with Sochaux a second time was for D.C. United in Sept. 20, 2011.

After finishing out the 2011-12 season at Sochaux, Davies signed with Randers but has played only infrequently, mostly in end-of-game appearances.

He joined Sochaux in the summer of 2009 but was seriously injured in a car accident in October 2009.

-- Montreal Impact has loaned former U.S. under-23 defender Zarek Valentin to Norwegian second division club Bodo/Glimt for the 2013 season.
