  1. Why isn’t this being offered in Illinois?? Does Us Soccer not want to give Illinois players the same opportunity to be scouted for National team?

  2. how is this to identify youth prospects when there are only 32 teams involved, and they have already been identified by the academies? There are many areas not even being looked at.

  3. Can we get something like this out here in the central valley of california, we want to play also.

  4. Soccer is soccer! Futsal is Futsal! Futsal should come first in their lives before they even dream to start playing soccer. Do you select tennis players to go play for the ping-pong national team? You guys make no sense all together. Nike knows nothing about any sports and they careless who the crowd belongs, they just want to bunch up a crowd of any kind and expose their brand. The person running around with the radio telling everyone he is the Futsal guy in charge, never really played Futsal nowhere, has no clue what this game is all about. The US Soccer Development Soccer director neither. How can you invite 32 local “elite” SOCCER teams to throw them in a FUTSAL – American Version – scenario and say you will pick a few to the national soccer team? 32 teams that never played real Futsal in their lives, what an ugly site and way to begin the process. I know you want to expose the game of FUTSAL, but you are starting off EXTREMELY WRONG!!! At 13/14 you are EXTREMELY late exposing any game to anyone especially FUTSAL. You can do this in a weekend, and to truly gain the benefits this game bring to the table, you need to play FUTSAL daily from 5 to 13 and not 13 and up!…

  5. It seems this is more about money than anything else. Dont these guys already know exactly who these few kids are for USA National team consideration?? What does Futsal have to do with it?? Oh I see, lets promote it with the few kids we knew we already wanted to be on National Team anyway and others will start playing it hoping they will make it too through Futsal. This is the best way to brand it and promote it and eventually it should be a money maker as well. Never mind that Futsal’s most important years should be at 5-13 years old. Why arent we asking people like Mr. Oliveira here on how Futsal instead of trying to wing it??
