The Mirror reports that Luis Suarez may have talked himself into a difficult position after making it clear that he wants to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid. WhileLiverpool’s position is clear — the club doesn’t want the player to go — Real has yet to even make so much as an inquiry about the Uruguay international.

The Mirrorclaims that Suarez has been trying to talk his $53.5 million transfer price down, but his club has responded by telling him that if he wants to leave so much, he should hand in a transfer request.Doing so would fasten the $53.5 million price on his head, which due to his poor disciplinary record, few, if any, clubs would be willing to pay. So far no one has inquired about the striker’savailability.

If Suarez hands in a request, the Mirror says that Real’s Alvaro Morata — currently the top scorer in the U21 European Championship in Israel — couldbe used as a makeweight in a cash-plus-player deal.
