[VIDEO PICK: Off the Post] The Guardian offers up its remarkably accurate interpretation of Bayern Munich's thrilling 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League Final at Wembley by using toys for grownups.

The Guardian’s animators have used what they call brick-by-brick to portray several marquee sporting events. It’s not surprising these talented folks offered up one of their best adaptations for the world’s most prestigious club soccer tournament, especially because this year’s final took place in London.

This video offers amazing attention to detail, from the Champions League anthem, team jerseys, high-profile commentators and instant replay, these animators seem to capture it all --- they even got Arjen Robben’s hair right…

    Brilliant. So realistic, the whole game flashed through my mind, even the reluctant team play of Robben and Ribery (don't you get the sense that one of them is going to pull a Tonya Harding on the other at some point?).

    Brilliant stuff, indeed. It would have been even more brilliant if they had managed to include Heynckes and Klopp in the whole bit.
