Iceland’s soccer federation has bizarrely issued a statement on the decision of USA-born AZ Alkmaar striker Aron Johannsson to play for the U.S. men’s national team.The association goes so far as to urge the public and media to convince Johannsson to reconsider, offering him the chance to play for Iceland against the Faraoe Islands on Aug 14th.
