U.S. team picked for Barcelona tournament

[TORNEO FCB ESCOLA] A team of 14 players has been picked to represent the USA at the 2014 Torneo FCB Escola, the Easter tournament in Barcelona. The team includes Michaela Ferrario, the only girl named to the team, and Felipe Schwartz, who traveled from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to participate in the New York camp.

Almost 1,000 youth players participated in the Official FC Barcelona Soccer Camps USA's seven-city tour and caught the eyes of coaches from FC Barcelona’s La Masia and FCB Escola.

Previously, the tournament was open only to the Escola players in Barcelona.

The following players were selected:
