Indy Eleven's first game in the North American Soccer League is still five months away, but it has already hit 7,000 season-ticket deposits.

Indy Eleven will play at the 12,500-seat Michael A. Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium so they will limit for the time being space for 7,000 season tickets. Indy is the first NASL team to cap season-ticket deposits and start a season-ticket waiting list.

“We launched back in January with modest ticketing goals, and adjusting our plans to keep up with our fans’ response has been the best possible challenge for our staff,” said Indy Eleven president and general manager Peter Wilt in a statement.
A season-ticket deposit of $25 gives fans the right to apply for season tickets. It doesn't mean every deposit will be converted into a season ticket so those on the waiting list will get first crack at season tickets when they become available. Fans can secure “a priority spot” on the season-ticket waiting list with a $25-per-seat deposit.

Indy held a Celebrate 7,000 party Monday and introduced its first two player signings: defender Baba Omosegbon and goalie Nathan Sprenkel. It also added Tim Regan as the team’s first assistant coach.

MAN. UNITED DOMINATES ON CABLE. Sunday’s Manchester United-Arsenal averaged 803,000 viewers to rank as the third most-watched Premier League match ever on cable in the United States. The four most-watched games all involved United. The other three games were against Man. City.

Largest EPL Viewership (U.S Cable):
1,033,000 Man. United-Man. City (ESPN) 2012
852,000 Man. City-Man. United (NBCSN) 2013
803,000 Man. United-Arsenal  (NBCSN) 2013
611,000 Man. United-Man. City (ESPN) 2013
610,000 Chelsea-Arsenal  (ESPN2) 2010

NYCFC MAKES THREE HIRES. New York City FC, which will join MLS in 2015, has hired Doug Fillis (senior vice president, partnerships), Josh Neier (vice president, finance) and Mike Quarino (vice president, ticket sales & fan services).

Fillis worked in athletic administration at Rutgers, where Tim Pernetti, NYCFC's chief business officer, was athletic director. Neier previously spent 10 years in MLS's finance department, while Quarino most recently spent five years with the Philadelphia Union in the same position he'll hold at NYCFC.

D.C. NAMES MARKETING CHIEF. D.C. United named Jamie Gustafson as its new director of marketing. The D.C. resident has expansive sports marketing and branding experience at Haymaker (formerly Richards Sports + Entertainment), Southwest Airlines, Sweet Leaf Tea and CRAFT Media/Digital.
