Liverpool on Monday confirmed that captain Steven Gerrard is set to miss the next six weeks with a hamstring injury. Gerrard limped off the field early in the second half ofLiverpool’s 4-1 win against West Ham at Anfield on Sunday. He is expected to return in mid-January, meaning he could miss as many as eight matches, including trips to Tottenhamn, Manchester Cityand Chelsea.
