Spanish daily AS claims that renewing Lionel Messi’s contract will cost Barcelona a whopping 250 million euros ($348 million). According to the report, Messi’s camp ispushing for a record annual salary of 25 million euros ($35 million) over five years, while the rest would presumably come in the form of the player’s image rights, which are still in theprocess of being negotiated. Messi is understood to currently make 16 million euros ($22.3 million) per year.
