[DOWN ON THE FARM] Collin Martin (D.C. United) had assists on both goals as the Richmond Kickers opened the 2014 USL PRO season with a 2-2 tie at the Charleston Battery.

Martin joined Portland keeper Jake Gleeson (Sacramento), Houston defender Anthony Arena (Pittsburgh) and LA Galaxy defender Oscar Sorto (Galaxy II) on the USL PRO team of the week.

Chandler Hoffman, one of 11 LA Galaxy players playing for its reserve team, had the tying goal in LA Galaxy II's 1-1 tie with Sacramento Republic FC. For a look at MLS players on loan to USL PRO clubs.

LOAN UPDATES. With goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum questionable for Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake due to a right ankle sprain suffered in training, Sporting Kansas City has recalled 20-year-old Jon Kempin from OKC Energy FC. He'll rejoin the expansion USL PRO club for its match at LA Galaxy II on Monday night.
