[WORLD CUP 2014 COUNTDOWN] The World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicked off its U.S. leg with a ceremony on Monday at the State Department with Vice President Joe Biden, who will be attending the finals in June, and Secretary of State John Kerry, a former college soccer player at Yale.

U.S. ambassadors Julie Foudy and Cobi Jones were also on hand in Washington.

After stops in Miami on Tuesday and Wednesday and Atlanta on Thursday, the World Cup Trophy will visit Los Angeles for a two-day fan experience on Saturday and Sunday at L.A. LIVE. It will feature Brazilian-themed entertainment.

The nine-month tour is giving more than one million people around the world the chance to experience trophy in their own communities. It features the first ever pan-Latin America tour.
