[AWARDS] Goalkeeper Odisnel Cooper, who defected from Cuba to the United States in October 2012, was named USL PRO Playerof the Week after he recorded a pair of shutouts in the Charleston Battery’s two road wins. For the USL PRO Team of the Week.
 
Cooper, one of three Cubans on the Battery,recorded eight saves in the two victories, including six saves in a 2-0 win against the Dayton Dutch Lions on Sunday night.
 
Joining Cooper on the Team of the Week is forward Omar Salgado, the former No. 1 MLS SuperDraft pick on loan from the Vancouver Whitecaps. Salgado had a goal in each of the Battery’s victories.
 
Orlando’s Dennis Chin and Sacramento’s Adam Jahn (on loan from the San Jose Earthquakes) were also namedto the Team of the Week’s forward line. Chin had a pair of goals in a 3-1 win over OKC Energy FC on Sunday. Jahn had his second goal in as many appearances for Republic FC, which lifted its to a2-1 win against the Orange County on Saturday night.
 
Last week’s USL PRO Player of the Week, Kevin Molino, earned a second consecutiveTeam of the Week selection after his pair of assists helped Orlando past OKC, and he is joined in the midfield by a pair of players from Arizona United SC, KadeemDacres and Bradlee Baladez, and Richmond’s George Davis IV.
 
Rochester defender Kyle Hoffer, Wilmington’s Ashani Fairclough and Orange County’s RauwshanMcKenzie form the backline.
