[NWSL] Kerstin Garefrekes, one of the most decorated players in German women’s history, has joined the Washington Spirit onloan from FFC Frankfurt for the remainder of the 2014 NWSL season.
The 34-year-old Garefrekes was second in goals in the Frauen-Bundesliga this season with 18 goals forsecond-place Frankfurt.
