[MAKING A LIST] Teams from Concacaf and Conmebol, the South American confederation, claimed eight of the 16 berths in the knockout phase of the World Cup. Only Honduras and Ecuador exited after the first round. The big continental loser was Asia, whose four entrants combined for three points -- all from ties -- in 12 games.
