Former Chelsea left back Ashley Cole has moved a step closer to signing for AS Roma, as the 33-year-old was spotted in Rome ahead of a medical. In a Twitter post the Giallorossi posted apicture of Cole with the heading: “Welcome to Rome, Ashley!@TheRealAC3” in both Italian and English. Cole is expected to commit to a two-year deal worth 2.3 million euros ($3.1 million)per season, with an option in place for a third.
