[AMERICANS ABROAD] Americans saw little action on the first full weekend of the European season. Of the nine field playerson the 2014 U.S. World Cup team in Europe, just two (Mix Diskerud and Alejandro Bedoya) started and two others (Jozy Altidore and Fabian Johnson) made brief appearances as subs. Of the 34 Americans Soccer America is tracking each week inEurope, just 14 played over the weekend. The only American who scored this week was Conor O’Brien with a golazo in hisdebut for Austrian club Wiener Neustadt.
