[BUENOS AIRES CAMP] U.S. under-20 men’s national team head coach Tab Ramos named a 19-player roster for a training camp that begins Monday in Buenos Aires. The highlight of the trip will be a match against Argentina’s U-20s on Sept. 9.

The U-20s also could play potentially two matches against first division reserve teams.

This marks the fifth camp or tournament of the year for this age group and the squad’s first international trip in 2014. The U-20s had domestic camps in January and May, took second place at the 2014 Dallas Cup in April and most recently competed at the 2014 National Training Center Invitational in July in Carson, California.

Nine players return from the team that won the NTC Invitational. The squad includes former U.S. U-17 Joel Sonora, an Argentine-American who plays in the Boca Juniors system in Buenos Aires.

The traveling party doesn't include many key U-20 players, including Fulham's Emerson Hyndman and FC Utrecht's Rubio Rubin, who will be with the U.S. national team for Wednesday's match against the Czech Republic in Prague.

-- On Friday, West Virginia-born Gboly Ariyibi signed with English League One (third division) Chesterfield. He had previously played for second division Leeds United.

U.S. U-20 Roster:
GOALKEEPERS (3): Jeff Caldwell (Univ. of Virginia), Santiago Castano (New York Red Bulls), Evan Louro (Univ. of  Michigan)
DEFENDERS (7): Conor Donovan (N.C. State), Chase Gasper (UCLA), Matthew Miazga (New York Red Bulls), Shaquell Moore (Unattached), Erik Palmer-Brown (Sporting KC), John Requejo (Tijuana/MEX), Tyler Turner (Orlando City)
MIDFIELDERS (5): Fernando Arce (Tijuana/MEX), Gboly Ariyibi (Chesterfield/ENG), Russell Canouse (Hoffenheim/GER), Luis Felipe (Cruzeiro/BRA), Joel Sonora (Boca Juniors/ARG)
FORWARDS (4): Paul Arriola (Tijuana/MEX), Bradford Jamieson IV (LA Galaxy), Zach Pfeffer (Philadelphia Union), Tommy Thompson (San Jose Earthquakes).
