[RECORD BOOK] Charlie Lyon extended his shutout streak to 808 minutes, now the 10th longest such streak in NCAA Division Imen’s history, as No. 13 Marquette beat St. Johns’ 2-0 to highlight the Golden Eagles’ celebration of 50 years of Marquette soccer.
More than 70 former players and coaches,including Hayden Knight (three caps with the USA in 1984) and Bob Gansler (head coach of 1990 U.S. World Cup squad) werein attendance.
Lyon also earned his 28th career shutout, tying Jim Welch for the program record. Welch was also in attendance at thematch.
