Arsene Wenger believes that Thierry Henry will “certainly” return to his former club Arsenal in some capacity in the future. Henry on Monday announced that he would beleaving the New York Red Bulls, his club for the last four-and-a-half years, and Gunners coach Wenger immediately opened the door to a possible return.

“[Henry] is an Arsenal man. Thebest moment certainly of his life and of his career has been experienced here,” Wenger said during his press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Southampton onWednesday. “Certainly one day he will come back here. In what role I don’t know, that is what he has to think about: what direction he wants to give to his next life.”

Wengersaid the 37-year-old would make a fine coach: “Thierry has all the qualities because he is intelligent, committed, he loves the game. He just has to think, ‘Do I want to sacrifice all therest of my life to be involved in that job?’” The French tactician didn’t think Arsenal’s record goalscorer would want to play in the Premier League again: “Yes [he couldstill play], but 37 today in the Premier League … I don’t think he wants to do that again.”
