Reports in Spain claim that Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez is poised to sign a three-year contract with Qatari club Al Sadd, instead of MLS. According to the reports, the 35-year-oldSpanish playmaker will join the Qatari team at the end of the season, earning a salary of €10 million. He will also study for his coaching license during his time in Qatar. Xavi was said tobe considering a move to MLS and New York City FC, in particular.
