Report: Real, Atleti Commit Youth Transfer Offenses

Spanish radio program “El Larguero” claimed on Tuesday that both Real and Atletico Madrid have committed similar offenses to those which have seen La Liga rival Barcelona banned fromsigning any new players until January 2016. FIFA’s rules only permit international youth transfers when either the player’s parents have moved to a country for their own reasons, theplayer is between 16 and 18 and the move takes place inside the European Union, or if the player’s home is within 31 miles from the national border being crossed. Real has since said that the“El Larguero” report is “absolutely false.”
