Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcântara on Thursday extended his contract with the German champion by two years until 2019. The 24-year-old, who joined from Barcelona for22 million-pounds ($33.9 million) in 2013, missed more than a year with serious knee injuries before returning to action in April 2015. The Spain international completed Bayern’s pre-seasoncampaign and came on as a substitute in both of the Bavarian giant’s Bundesliga league games so far.
