A 26-player U.S. U-18 women’s national team squad, coached by U.S. Soccer Women’s Technical Director April Heinrichs, will convene Oct. 18-25 for its fourth camp of theyear, in Chula Vista, Calif.
The U-18s are coming off a trip to Mexico City in August where they drew and lost to the Mexico U-20s.
All the players in this camp were born in 1998 andall are eligible for the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, but the goal for this age group is ultimately the 2018 FU-20 Women’s World Cup.
The team will play the San Diego Sea Lions of the W-League on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at Cathedral High School.
