Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed that Bayern has started discussions with Borussia Dortmund to acquire Mats Hummels, a starting centraldefender on Germany’s 2014 World Cup-winning team. Manchester United is among other teams reportedly interested in Hummels, a product of Bayern’s youth academy who played one first-team game forBayern before moving to Dortmund.
