There's more bad luck for D.C. United keeper Bill Hamid. For the third year in a row, he's been called up or was expected to be called up to the U.S. national team for its January camp but had to drop out because of an injury.
In 2015, Hamid was suffering from a shoulder injury,
the same injury that kept him out for six months in his rookie season in 2010.
In 2016, he suffered a knee injury just prior to the start of camp and withdrew after being evaluated by the
national team medical staff.
Now, he's been scratched again after injuring his knee in the offseason.
Hamid won't be replaced at January Camp, where players gathered on
Wednesday. David Bingham, Stefan Frei, Nick Rimando and Luis Robles are the other goalkeepers in camp.
