Wondo's addition also comes after Jordan Morris tweaked an injured ankle in
the Seattle Sounders' 3-1 win over the LA Galaxy on Sunday. Morris received treatment on the right ankle he injured on Monday in San Jose.
Wondolowski, the only player in league history to score double-digit goals in seven consecutive seasons, has a goal and two assists in three matches for the revitalized Quakes. The 33-year-old forward has 35 caps for the USA but has never played in a World Cup qualifier.
U.S. national team coach Bruce Arena has made eight changes to his roster -- four players in, four out -- since announcing his team last Wednesday.
