Omar Gonzalez didn't play for Pachuca in its Liga MX game on Saturday, but he scored the winner as Tuzos beat second division Cimarrones de Sonora in the Copa MX.

Amando Moreno also scored the winner for Dorados in its 2-1 win at Universidad de Guadalajara.

Gonzalez's goal was his second since he joined Pachuca in January 2016.

Pachuca won its group in the Copa MX, which consists of nine four-team groups involving pros teams from the top two levels of Mexican soccer.

Moreno is one of three Tijuana alums to start for Dorados, which picked up its first win of the Copa MX. It is first in the Torneo Ascenso after seven games.
