No 14 Loyola Marymount, which had upset UConn, 1-0, on Saturday in Storrs, concluded its swing through the Nutmeg State with a 2-1 loss to Central Connecticut in game played at the University of Hartford on Monday.

The Lions took an early lead on senior David Niemeyer's goal in the 14th minute, but former New Zealand U-17 international Ben Howe scored twice, the second goal coming 36 seconds into the second overtime, to give the Blue Devils the victory.

LMU had a 17-11 edge in shots, but freshman Paul Armstrong came up big with six saves in his collegiate debut in goal for CCSU.
