Ft. Lewis, the defending NCAA Division II men's champion, improved to 10-0-0 with a 1-0 win over Regis and a 2-0 victory over Metro State. English star John Cunliffe leads the Skyhawks with 14 goals and eight assists. Ft. Lewis has conceded only one goal in its 10 wins.
-- No. 10 Carson-Newman won a battled of D2 men's unbeatens as it edged No. 5 Lenior-Rhyne, 1-0, in a key South Atlantic Conference match. Spaniard David Carrasco broke the scoreless by scoring off a free kick from about 30 yards out from the left side. Carson-Newman's All-American goalkeeper, Tyler Baldock, picked up the shutout.
-- Embry-Riddle, the only unbeaten team in the NAIA Men's Top 10, lost twice last week. The Savannah College of Art & Design got goals from Dan Fadida and Kofi Boateng in the last 123 seconds to beat Embry-Riddle, 2-1. Webber International senior Bjorn Asbjornsson recorded his first hat trick of the 2006 season to lead the Warriors to a 3-2 conference victory over Embry-Riddle in another Florida Sun Conference match.
-- Twice in three days, Brittany Yetter tied the West Chester women's assist record with three assists in the 4-0 win over Shippensburg. She also had three assists in the unbeaten Golden Rams' 5-0 victory over Kutztown.
