2. WOMEN: BYU wins before another big crowd

Few programs have the support that the BYU's women's program has.

The No. 14 Cougars drew a crowd of 3,606 at South Stadium on Monday night to watch them beat Arizona, 1-0. BYU is averaging 2,247 fans for five home dates.

Sophomore Katie Fellows scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute on a header off Haylee Cuthbert's corner kick. Fellows had the tying goal last Friday night in BYU's 1-1 tie with Washington State.

"It's a whole game process," Fellows said. "You come ready to play every game, and you have to play as if every ball is going to be the ball. I had an opportunity and I took it."

Freshman Farrell McClernon’s goal off a rebound in the 98th minute boosted No. 18 Boston University over Ivy League power Yale, 2-1, on Monday evening.

McClernon’s has now scored the game-winner in three games, including a timely overtime strike against Boston College in the season opener.

The Terriers will aim for a perfect 4-0-0 homestand on Thursday when BU welcomes No. 24 Maine in a battle of New England's only two Top 25 teams.
