The Dallas Burn acquired defender Tenywa Bonseu from the Columbus Crew as well as a fifth round selection in the fourth round of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft. In exchange, the Crew received the Burn's
11th pick in the second round of the 2002 SuperDraft. Bonseu, 25, started 24 games for the Crew last season, registering three assists. The Ugandan native broke into MLS in 2000 as a call-up for
the Chicago Fire from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the A-League just prior to the playoffs. He played in two regular season games for the Fire and saw action in six playoff games for Chicago,
starting five, including MLS Cup 2000. He was then allocated to Columbus on Feb. 3, 2001.
