MLS Superdraft: The Trades

The trades that influenced the picking order at the MLS Superdraft Feb. 6 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.: Round 1 Colorado obtained the No. 10 overall pick from the New England Revolution (along with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2000 MLS Superdraft) in exchange for forward Wolde Harris and the No. 31 overall pick in the 2000 MLS Superdraft. Round 2 D.C. United obtained the No. 19 overall pick from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for United's No. 24 overall pick in 2000 and United's second-round selection in the 2001 MLS Superdraft Round 3 Colorado obtained the No. 26 overall pick from the New England Revolution (along with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2000 MLS Superdraft) in exchange for forward Wolde Harris and the No. 31 overall pick in the 2000 MLS Superdraft. Los Angeles obtained the No. 29 overall pick from the Miami Fusion in exchange for the Galaxy's No. 35 overall pick and the Galaxy's second-round pick in the 2001 Superdraft. Round 4 D.C. United obtained the No. 41 overall pick from Miami in exchange for the rights to Keith Beach (United's second round college pick in 1999) and United's fourth-round pick in the 2001 MLS Superdraft Round 5 Round 6 Tampa Bay obtained the No. 64 and No. 65 overall picks from Chicago in exchange for the Mutiny's sixth-round pick in the 2001 MLS Superdraft.
