The two runners-up play off against the runners-up in Caribbean Groups 2 and 3 for places in the semifinals. Caribbean (Cup System) Group 1 Cuba vs. Cayman Islands St. Lucia vs. Surinam Aruba vs. Puerto Rico Barbados vs. Grenada Group 2 St. Vincent & Grenadines vs. U.S. Virgin Islands St. Kitts/Nevis vs. Turks & Caicos Guyana vs. Antigua British Virgin Islands vs. Bermuda Group 3 Trinidad vs. Netherlands Antilles Dominican Republic vs. Montserrat Dominica vs. Haiti Anguilla vs. Bahamas ò Teams play three rounds until three group winners, who qualify for semifinals. The runner-up of Group 1 plays off against Canada for a place in the semifinals. The two other runners-up play off against the runners-up in Central America for places in the semifinals. Interzone Playoffs (Cup System) Caribbean 2A vs. Canada Caribbean 2B vs. Central America 2A Caribbean 2C vs. Central America 2B SEMIFINALS (League System) ò Mexico, Jamaica, the United States and Costa Rica qualify directly for the semifinals. Mexico, Jamaica and the United States are the three seeds. A draw will be held after the first round to place the other nine teams. Costa Rica and the two Central America winners will be placed in one pot, the three Caribbean winners in a second and the three Interzone Playoff winners in a third. The two top teams from the three groups of four qualify for the final round. FINALS (League System) ò The six finalists will play off in a single group from which the top three teams qualify for the finals.

The nine runners-up will go into the playoffs. PLAYOFFS (Cup System) ò Eight teams will be paired off in four home-and-home series from which the four winners qualify for the finals. The ninth runner-up will play off against the third-place Asian team in a home-and-home series. The winner will qualify for the final.
