Eduardo Hurtado, waived by the MetroStars Dec. 1, has been claimed by the New England Revolution. Hurtado, 30, has scored 47 goals and recorded 28 assists in four years -- the fifth-best all-time
in league history -- while playing for the L.A. Galaxy and the MetroStars. "Eduardo is one of the most difficult players in MLS to defend one-on-one," Revolution coach Fernando Clavijo said. "I
know his capabilities after coaching him with the MetroStars last year. He is excellent with his back to the goal, shields the ball extremely well, is an accomplished finisher, and combines well with
his teammates." Clavijo served as MetroStars assistant coach last season.
