Abby Wambach out-muscled
Mariann Knudsen in the left side of the box and laid a perfect ball back to Lilly, who scored her 114th goal for the USA with a shot from 14 yards.
With
the tie, the USA moves to 13-0-4 this year and remains undefeated under Coach
Greg Ryan. The USA's next match is at Chenoan Stadium outside of Seoul on
Tuesday against Australia, a 1-0 winner over the Netherlands in the other Group B match. In Group A, Canada beat Italy, 3-2, on 17-year-old
Jodi Ann Robinson's
goal in the 80th minute, and Brazil edged host South Korea, 1-0.
