Olympics: Arena adds three players, drops three

U.S. Olympic men's team coach Bruce Arena added three players to his under-23 team that is preparing for this summer's Olympic soccer tournament: South Carolina defender Tony Soto, Wisconsin midfielder Mike Gentile and former Virginia striker Nate Friends.

At the same time, Arena released three players who have been in camp:
midfielders Brian Kelly and Billy Baumhoff and striker Pete Marino.

Friends and Gentile report to camp Feb. 18, while Soto will join the team March 1.

The following players are on the traveling squad for the match against Danish club Aalborg Feb. 17 in Pensacola, Fla.: Goalkeepers -- Jeff Cassar, Chris Snitko; defenders -- Matt McKeon, Clint Peay, Brandon Pollard, Eddie Pope; midfielders -- Imad Baba, Mike DuHaney, Frankie Hejduk, Alberto Montoya, Damian Silvera, Nelson Vargas, Billy Walsh; Forwards -- Mike Fisher, Miles Joseph, A.J. Wood.
