USISL: Owners limit rule changes

The USISL has abandoned most of the rule changes it has experimented with the last two years. The changes are intended to allow players who may move up to MLS to play under traditional rules.

Gone:

60-minute clock (traditional 90-minute clock will be used).

Live shootout after the seventh foul each half.

Bonus points for goals (the USISL will use MLS's 3-1-0 points system).

Retained:

Kick-in option on balls out of bounds.

15-yard wall on free kicks.

Live shootout (for the professional foul outside the area in which the fouled player had a chance to score).
