College: Arkansas-Little Rock drops men's soccer

Arkansas-Little Rock is the fourth NCAA Division I school in the last two years to drop men's soccer.

UALR dropped men's soccer and men's swimming in a move "to strengthen our overall athletic department," according to director of athletics Rick Mello. Men's soccer coach Scott Westbrook will remain as coach of the existing women's soccer program.

Other programs to drop men's soccer since 1994 are North Texas, Eastern Michigan and Illinois State.
