MLS: Rongen headed to New England

Thomas Rongen, Major League Soccer's 1996 Coach of the Year, has announced his intention to leave the Tampa Bay Mutiny, whom he led to a 20-12 record in its first season, in order to take the head coaching job at the New England Revolution.

Mutiny GM Nick Sakiewicz said he hopes to name a new head coach as soon as "the middle of next week."
