Two prisoners seving life sentences at the Pazardzhik prison went on a hunger
strike to try to get televisions placed in their cells. They sealed their mouths to show the seriousness of thei effort.
Said Prison director Vesselin
"I am negotiating with them to convince them that sealing their mouths is not the way to put forward their demands, which are unrealistic."
The earnestness of the lifers had to
be questioned, however. They left gaps in their mouths so they could smoke.
