Reading, with American
Marcus Hahnemann starting his 14th straight game of the season, downed Fulham, 1-0, to move into sixth place of the English Premier League. The victory marked the
seventh of the season for the newly promoted team that was expected to spend the season fighting for survival.
Hahnemann's U.S. teammate
Bobby Convey is sidelined with a bad knee.
One of Hahnemann's saves came on a diving header from
Brian McBride, who went the full 90. Fulham's American defender
Carlos Bocanegra exited at halftime with an injury.

Claudio Reyna was his team's highest rated player according to The Sun.

climb out of the relegation zone.

win of the season, downing Mainz, 1-0.
In the Netherlands,
Michael Bradley started in Heerenveen's 3-1 loss to AZ Alkmaar. In Belgium,
