and North Carolina's Heather O'Reilly
are the three finalists for the for the 2006 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy.
The men's and women's winners will be announced at the same time Dec. 2 in St.
Louis. The three women's finalists are scheduled to be in Cary, N.C., for the the Women's College Cup.
Hanks, a sophomore forward from Allen, Texas, was named the Big East Conference
Offensive Player of the Year after leading the nation in goals (22) and assists (20).
Averbuch, a sophomore midfielder from Upper Montclair, N.J., was named ACC Offensive Player of the
Year after scoring 16 goals to top the Tar Heel scoring chart. She established an NCAA women's soccer record by scoring four seconds into a victory against Yale on Sept. 3.
senior forward from East Brunswick, N.J., has 10 goals and 15 assists this season, leading UNC back to the College Cup. She was a Hermann finalist in 2004.
