Iraqi Passion Doesn't Wane Despite War

Baghdad may be a war zone, and one of the most dangerous places on earth, but the city still gets up for its national team. ABC News reports on the celebrations from Baghdad following Iraq's quarterfinal win over Uzbekistan in the Asian Games. "This is a great victory for a wounded Iraq," the game's announcer said charitably after the game finished, 2-1, in overtime. The really amazing thing is that for all their irreconcilable differences Sunnis and Shiites are actually rooting together, for the same team. During the game, the war stopped. After it was over, the celebration of victory reverberated through the air, as everyone with a gun raised their weapon and fired into the sky. After a two-decade absence, this is Iraq's second appearance in the Asian Games. On Monday, the team plays South Korea in the semifinals.
