Bradley Calls Up Three Dynamo Players

The Houston Dynamo, Major League Soccer's 2006 champion, will send three players largely untested at the international to the U.S. training camp. Interim coach Bob Bradley's initial roster includes Brian Mullan (2 caps), Ricardo Clark (1) and Eddie Robinson (0). Houston coach Dominic Kinnear, himself a former U.S. international, said, "I think it is well-deserved for all three. I hope it is the beginning for those guys with the U.S. national team in 2007." He says Robinson, a defender, has proven himself in MLS this season as a solid, reliable starting defender. Mullan absolutely controlled the right side of midfield for the MLS champion, at times upstaging Clint Dempsey, the 2006 Honda Player of the Year. Clark is man who many feel could one day assume the role of holding midfielder for the U.S. team, a spot currently held by Pablo Mastroeni. His selfless play is one of the main reasons Dwayne De Rosario was able to get forward and score goals. Bradley's own son, 19-year old Michael, who plays in the Dutch Eredivisie with Heerenveen, also plays Clark's position, although Bob Bradley made it clear his son will play with the U.S. U-20s this year.
