5. CANADA: Collegians prep for U-20 World Cup

Seven collegians were part of Dale Mitchell's Canada U-20 squad that trained in Florida before Christmas.

Mitchell's squad included goalie David Monsalve (Mobile), defenders Adam Lang (Washington), Tosaint Ricketts (Wisconsin-Green Bay) and Masumi Turnbull (Kentucky), midfielder Mike D'Agostino (Kentucky) and forwards Alex Elliott (Portland) and Daniel Revivo (Winthrop).

Mitchell's team for this summer's Under-20 World Cup is expected to be dominated by European-based players such as David Edgar (who scored the tying goal for Newcastle against Manchester United on New Year's Day) with the rest of the team coming from the U.S. collegiate ranks and Canada's National Training Centre program.
