Spanish title race could be decided on Wednesday

Real Madrid fans are dreaming of what was only unthinkable just a few short months ago.

The Merengues could end a four-year drought without a trophy on Saturday by clinching Spain's La Liga title if they beat Real Zaragoza away and Barcelona and Sevilla lose their matches against Espanyol and Real Mallorca, respectively.

Real Madrid captain Raul, for one, thinks the race will go another week.

"I think all three teams will win their games," he said, "although we have perhaps have the toughest one at Zaragoza."

Real, which takes a six-game winning streak to Zaragoza, may be without David Beckham. The English midfielder is nursing an ankle injury (strained the internal lateral ligament) suffered in the 3-0 win over Estonia on Wednesday.

Barcelona will be without its biggest star for its derby against Espanyol. Ronaldinho is serving his one-game suspension for being ejected in Barca's last match, a 1-0 win over Getafe.
