USA-Denmark: New Blood vs. Old

It will be a decidedly green United States team that steps into the Home Depot Center in Carson Saturday to play Denmark (TV: ESPN2, 4:40 pm ET). Eleven of Bob Bradley's squad of 28 players have yet to earn their first cap; only two in the squad-Landon Donovan and Pablo Mastroeni-are veterans of the last two World Cups.

For U.S. soccer fans, the friendly offers a possible first look at Sacha Kljestan, Joshua Gros, Michael Parkhurst, Jonathan Bornstein and others in national team colors; whether or not they play is up to how Bradley wants to play the friendly.

Last year at this time, Denmark's Scandinavian neighbor Norway left with its tail between its legs after being thrashed, 5-0. The Danes also will be bringing a very inexperienced side -- without its veterans from England, Germany and elsewhere.
