Iraq and Saudi Arabia advance to Asian Cup final

Iraq reached the Asian Cup final for the first time with a 4-3 win in a shootout over the Koreans and will met Saudi Arabia in all-Arab clash. The Saudis ended Japan's dreams of a third straight title with a 3-2 win in Hanoi.

Iraqi goalkeeper Noor Sabri saved South Korea's fourth penalty kick by Yeom Ki-hun to decide the game in rainy Kuala Lumpur.

Malek Maaz scored twice to help send Saudi Arabia into its sixth final in the last seven tournaments.

Twice the Saudis went ahead on goals by captain Yasser Al Qahtani and Maaz, and twice the Japanese responded on Yuji Nakazawa's header and Yuki Abe's volley before Maaz won the game on a brilliant individual goal, wriggling past three defenders before smashing the ball into the top corner.
